Hi, everyone.
I hope you are all doing well.
In last week’s post, https://thenext50years.blog/2021/01/04/how-do-you-want-to-grow-in-2021/, my good friend from my college days, Anita, asked me if I had a word of the year. I do. The word I have chosen for the year is Create.
We are such creative beings. Each and every one of us is an artist designing our life. We may have circumstances overcome, but even how we react to a circumstance creates an outcome that creates our future.
So, what am I looking to create this year? I am looking to create a healthy year, both physically and mentally. I am looking to create adventures, whether they be close to home or through travel. I am looking to create a home that is a sanctuary of peace at the end of the day, quality friendships, a nurturing classroom for my students, blog posts, and most importantly, I am looking to be a friend and encourage people as much as possible. That is what I am looking to create this year. By creating my life, I hope to grow in my humanity.
How about you? Do you have a word of the year? If not, it is a great way to start the new year. Think of one one all encompassing word that describes what you most want to develop within yourself this year. Brave? Compassion? Unstoppable? Elegant? Faithful? So many words to choose from.
If you choose a word of the year, what areas of your life would you like to apply the word?
Let me know. I always love to hear from you!
Thanks for stopping by the blog!
Until next time,
Laura
